I woke up this morning with a giant pain in the neck - literally. I had dreamt a nightmarish tale where I was out running and happened upon a giant pit of snakes, all of whom would slither faster than I could run. (I can't even imagine what kind of wacky dream interpretations this will elicit.) So in my dream I'm sprinting through fields and over paths, trying to outrun these horrible creatures and they just keep multiplying, and I keep running, more frantically and panicked, until I wake up in a cold sweat with a giant crick in my neck. (I think I failed to mention a few weeks back when I actually DID happen upon a snake on my morning run, which I took as a definitive sign that my run needed to be cut short, and I turned around and headed home. At a faster pace than I think I've ever run. Who knew snakes could be so effective at speed training?)
So with an aching neck, I stumbled downstairs to start coffee and was greeted with a high-pitch squeal coming from the depths of my freezer. I opened it to see icicles dripping from the interior, which while it does make a festive North Pole-like scene, I'm pretty sure is not supposed to happen. So I called Jenn-Air to find out that my overpriced-total-piece-of-crap-but-HEY-IT'S-SHINY! frig is just two months out of warranty and I will be billed for any necessary repairs + a $75 service call charge. Lovely.
Also on my to-do list today was also a call to Comcast, who while installing an amplifier last weekend, must have disconnected one of our cable jacks, because now that tv has no reception. (Never mind that there are three other televisions with perfectly fine reception. If I can't watch E News simultaneously in every room of the house, life is not worth living.) And getting to complain to Comcast about their obvious ineptitude makes me feel a bit better about spending my kids' college tuition on cable bills every month. Ahem.
So, yes it is Monday. And here I sit, waiting for the oh-so-convenient 3-hour window to arrive during which repairmen will be here to fix all the broken things. Not exactly how I wanted to spend my day. Sigh.
On a happier note, I thought I'd share the rest of my layouts from this months' Jenni Bowlin kit. The papers are perfect for fall themes, heritage photos, back-to-school, or scrapping your crazy dreams of snakes. Or whatever other neurotic tendencies you may possess. :)

Enjoy your Monday, my friends. Here's hoping it's free from snakes, icicles, and malfunctioning televisions.
