Hello my friends! Here it is Tuesday and since I spent Monday recooping from the weekend's activities, which included a concert at Red Rocks, a Rockies game, and oh yeah, a 20-mile run, I'm officially declaring today a Monday do-over. Take that, calendar.
I've decided to skip my usual Marathon Monday this week because, really, it would involve a lot of complaining and whining about having to run 20 miles. (Which, in case you were wondering, was everything I thought it would be: namely, LONG and SUCKY.) After a trip to the chiro revealed I have an inflamed psoas muscle, it was also a bit painful. But it's over. Which is really the best thing I can say about it.
Moving on to more pleasant topics, I thought I'd share one of my layouts from this month's Jenni Bowlin Mercantile kit. If you haven't snapped up this kit yet, by all means do so (and I'd suggest grabbing the add-on as well) as it's quite likely to sell out soon. The kit is a colorful mix of Pink Paislee, Girl's Paperie, and Sassafras Lass that are ideal for those summer photos. Or in my case, those photos of you and your hubby at your senior prom:
It Was 1990 • 12 x 12: patterned paper (Girl's Paperie) + chipboard, brads (Pink Paislee) + die cut (Jenni Bowlin) + stamps (Michaels) + pen (Uniball Signo) + vintage labels
Lucky for you, I changed these photos to sepia so you can't be blinded by the iridescent chartreuse green of my dress. However, I'm sure you can't miss my overwhelmingly obvious love for a spiral curling iron and Aqua Net. Ah, those were the days...when I had nothing better to do than spend two and a half hours painstakingly curling every hair on my head. Good times.
I'll be back tomorrow with my remaining layouts, but you should check out the entire design team's gallery in the meantime. There is some amazing work in there this month!
I'm off to do speed work, in hopes that I if I run fast enough I might be able to catch up to the fact that is it, indeed, Tuesday. Hope yours is a good one!
