Welcome to the BasicGrey Aspen Frost Blog Hop! You should have arrived
here from the blog of Kelly Rasmussen.
Charming and familiar, wild and sweet, a juxtaposition of Christmas past and present, Aspen Frost by BasicGrey holds all the joy and tradition of a homespun holiday. In neutral birch, iced cranberry, red hot cinnamon, dazzling white, glacier blue and green apple, Aspen Frost is the comfort and blessing of yummy pies, sparkling drinks and a warm flame burning in the hearth.
S U P P L I E S : BasicGrey Aspen Frost papers (Woolen Mittens, Oh What Fun, Covered Lashes, Struedel, Satin Sashes) + Aspen Frost die cut shapes + Aspen Frost Alphabet Stickers + Aspen Frost Element Stickers + die cut snowflake + twnine + pen
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (OK, not really, but can you ever really start preparing for the holidays too soon?!? Um, no!) I love the liberal doses of turquoise in this collection. Paired with red and white, it's one of my favorite color combos. For this Christmas-y page, I cut several of the papers into banners and topped them with my photos and a large die-cut snowflake sprayed with silver mist.
For the title, I created my own die cut by using a bold sans serif font and adding small cut-out dots in each letter to resemble lightbulbs. The only thing I don't like about this title? Peeling al those itty-bitty paper circles off my Silhouette mat!
