Today we are finally settling into a regular routine after the holiday festivities: Kids are back to school, Mike is back to work, and I'm once again seated at my computer hoping for a productive day.
I'm also ringing in the new year with a bit of fun news - I've joined the Garden Girls design team at Two Peas in a Bucket! It still feels a bit surreal, but I am truly honored to be a part of this amazing group. I discovered Two Peas back in 2001 and the inspiration and comraderie I found there pushed my scrapping into a whole new dimension (and continues to do so) I'm excited for the upcoming year and the creative possibilities it holds!
Today I'm sharing my first page for the Garden, and since this month's theme is Everyday/365, I thought I'd do a "Year in Review" page to recap 2012:
2012 was definitely the year of the phone photo for me, and I had fun looking back through them to select 12 to feature on this page. I printed my photos at 2x2, which left room to frame them on the Pink Paislee and My Minds Eye papers.
Then I added a bunch of small tags, die cuts, buttons, and stickers to each frame to embellish them. The Basic Grey Micro Monograms were awesome for labeling the months (I used the Black and White ones).
In addition to the monthly themed pages, I'll also be contributing to the daily project videos at Two Peas in the series Seeing Double, where each Friday we'll show you different ways to use the same product. And since my hands will be featured on camera for all the world to see, I definitely need to get a manicure. Adding that to my to-do list today.
Hope your 2013 is off to a fantastic start!
