This Tuesday has found me in a bit of a funk so I thought I'd spend a few moments today going through albums and revisiting some favorite scrapbook pages of the past. Here are two particularly colorful ones that are making me happy!
This layout uses lots of vintage labels, tickets and tags that happened to be in a JBS Mercantile Historian kit awhile back. (But you can find lots of similar ephemera at the JBS Flea Market!) I also added old milk caps and chipboard buttons, clustered together with modern supplies as embellishments.
The journaling is written on a vintage tag that I tucked behind my photos. I printed my photo strip in black and white since there was so much color and pattern going on with the labels. The graphics on the labels are truly works of art that add so much rich detail. I love this mix of old and new!
My second page includes a series of camera shots that I took while camping last summer. I wanted to include lots of them, thus the small size (they are printed about 2" square). I created a simple border above and below the photos with bits of paper - some punched with border punches - and washi tape. A few simple embellishments like metal brads, enamel dots, fabric brads and metal flowers add texture.
