Sometimes, my very favorite pages are the simplest. Case in point? This recent page I made with the JBS Mercantile February kit. It's just a rectangle of patterned paper, some photos cropped in circles, and a mixed font title:
S U P P L I E S :
The strip of tickets (how cute are these??) and a few wood veneer hearts were all the embellishments I used. Believe me, it took some restraint not to add more. I kept trying to work in something else (and added the border stitching for just a bit of texture) but in the end, I kept pulling them off again. And I think this is all the "extras" the page needs. Sometimes simple and sweet just works.
The title is a mix of October Afternoon chipboard letters and a die cut word from pink cardstock. I love the touch of pink amongst the mostly-neutral color scheme. The word love isn't a font - it's a word art file I created in Illustrator with brushes. You can download it by clicking on the image in the supply list (which should save the zipped archive of the files to your computer) but if it doesn't work, you can also get the same file at the BasicGrey blog.
