Maybe it's because I've got a serious case of spring fever, but finding motivation to write blog posts this week has been like trying to find Waldo in my closet (er, I have A LOT of striped shirts). So I've done what any reponsible, upstanding blogger does in times like these. I've avoided Typepad and opted to hide in my pantry eating cookies instead. But lest you think I've passed out in a Marshmallow Krispie Oreo-induced sugar coma, I thought I better pop on and at least say hey.
Oh, and here's a quick recap of what I've been up to the past week!
We celebrated Mike's birthday. Despite the cake topper, he's really 41, but with a recent 13th birthday in our house, we made use of the candles we had on hand. We're resourceful like that. We also had a wonderfully fancy dinner out that included yummy foods NOT on my spring break diet, and I got to wear a cute new dress for the occasion (and pose like a big goofball while wearing it).
There was the requisite microbrew consumption amongst friends. After a few beers, I convinced my brother-in-law to take over the hosting of my website and he's spent the last few days answering mind-numbingly stupid questions from me about all things web and email related. I definitely owe him a beer (or twelve.)
I convinced both kiddos to let me do a mini photo shoot of each of them so I'd actually have some photos to scrapbook (always helpful in this hobby!) And despite the fact that they both only allowed me approximately 5 minutes and 20 frames, I managed to get some cute shots.
Our volleyball team won the spring league tournment with only four of our five players present. Yes, we play with five. Our sixth man is someone affectionately known as Margarita.
I got to wear bright striped shoes. But not while playing volleyball. This is just the random-unrelated-listing-portion of my blog post.
And oh yeah, I did just a bit of scrapping in a festive St. Patrick's Day-inspired color scheme. (See it soon at Two Peas!)
So that's what's up in my little world. What's up with you??
Edited to Add: The navy dress is from a local boutique, and is layered over this slip extender from this etsy shop (and I'll be featuring the whole outfit on an upcoming Wardrobe Wednesday soon!) I found similar versions of the dress online at Target, Delias, Bealls, and GetTheLabel.com. Hope that helps you girls out!
