On April Fool's day, I had a new project go live over on Two Peas and you are not going to believe it, but it was a two-pager (no fooling!) I know I don't regularly create double page spreads, but they are starting to grow on me. And unlike the little paunch that I mananged to grow after 10 days of living on delicious mexican food and the tastiest margaritas, I'm kinda liking them.
I opted to do a two-pager about Riely's kindergarten graduation (Yes, it was three years ago. I'm still in denial, thankyouverymuch.) because I wanted to include five photos and a whole lotta journaling. I printed the photos at 3x4 and printed my journaling in a column on the right hand edge, and that left me lots of room to incorporate colors and patterns to my heart's content. My color palette was inspired by this month's moodboard, which is definitely all about spring:
Since my tilted grid design is pretty simple overall, I decided to add lots of details in the form of stitching and small colored embellishments to several of the cards. It was fun to treat each rectangle like it's own little canvas!
You can check out my complete project with supply list and more detail shots in the Garden over at Two Peas. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great Thursday!
