I'm pretty sure that March 21 marked the official start of spring, correct? But in Colorado, Mother Nature likes thumbing her nose at the timely arrival of seasons. And making us pay for trips to tropical destinations by dumping snow on us mid-April. We got a nice dusting of the white stuff just this past weekend, thus halting any plans I had to dust off my shorts and sandals. But I have other ways of celebrating spring in my wardrobe: Bring on the yellow pants!
Sure, I had to pair them with a denim shirt and boots instead of tank top and flip flops, but they are bright and sunny enough to melt the snow (or blind you trying.) And I can totally make up for the absence of any blooms in our yard by donning this big ol' pink flower necklace, right?
So until spring really does arrive around here (and that can be ANY DAY NOW....do you hear me Mother Nature?!) I'll be making my own sunshine. Or at least wearing happy yellow pants.
