I'm a big fan of circles in design because they add such great energy to a page. Quite often when I'm going round and round trying to make a design come together, adding in a circular shape or two can make all the difference. (Did you catch that pun there?!) Recently I challenged myself to create a circles-only layout to document some of Hayden's currents. This is page that resulted:
S U P P L I E S :
Would you ever guess that this clean and simple page includes 30 circular elements? I varied the sizes and created clusters, overlapping and layering up a lot of the shapes. I also kept the color scheme to navy, blue, aqua and green, which helps unite everything.
I did cheat slightly and included two non-circular elements - the Thickers title and an arrow paper clip, but the page needed just a few straight lines for stability. I think this design would work equally as well with other shapes, too. Maybe hexagons or stars?
Hope your weekend is wonderful!
