It looks as if my grand plans for a regular Wardrobe Wednesday have gone into a tailspin the last few months. I haven't been able to manage a post here, let alone maintain a whole WW blog in addition. Life has gotten in the way of such trivial things as outfit photos and I haven't really been too concerned with what's on my body at any given time. PJ pants and a halfway clean-smelling tank?! Good enough!
But I needed a little distraction this week so I pulled out these shots taken back in mid-April and thought I'd compose a post for today. Even though the photos turned out really crappy (I do have a lingering spring break tan, but it's not quite as Jersey Shore Orange as these pictures might portray) I do really love this outfit. I bought the white pleather moto jacket several years back on a deep, deep clearance at Kohls, if only for the fact that it reminded me of the girls in Grease 2, a movie I'll unabashedly admit that I can sing every line from. Yes, I'm just that cool.
Cheesy songs aside, the jacket has actually proven quite versatile and it never fails to elicit compliments when I do break it out of the closet. I love it paired with dark denim and the fun ruffled detail adds a girly touch to an otherwise edgy jacket. Paired with a stretchy pencil skirt (super comfy), cotton tee, and my favorite Jack Purcells, I feel like I could hop on a motorcyle and go conquer the world. Or at least do a mean lip sync to Cool Rider.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friends!
