Ok, so it's Thursday, which means it's ALMOST the weekend, and given the craptastic week I'm having, I think that's a pretty good reason to celebrate. And what better way to usher in the weekend than with a fun giveaway?!!
But before we get all party central up in here, I wanted to take a quick a minute and address a bit of business. As most of you readers know, I try to provide supply lists for every project featured here on the blog so that you can easily find the same products should you be inspired to create a similar layout. However, when Two Peas announced its closing, they also ended their affiliate program, which meant the links to supplies in that store were now defunct. Which isn't very helpful if you're trying to find a certain product. To remedy that, I was able to redirect the broken links to a different online store, Scrapbook.com, but the broken links only take you to their home page, not the specific product page. I am working on remedying that, but it's a time-consuming process that makes me drink a lot of wine. I promise to keep working on it (and possibly provide a few wine reviews in the process!)
Which brings me to another point: I am a member of several scrapbook stores' affiliate programs, which means that I may get a commission on sales of the products that I link in my posts. This helps me cover the costs of maintaining the blog and keep it free of advertising. You don't get charged more by purchasing through my links and I only link to products that I use and recommend and think you should totally have in your scrap arsenal. So it's kind of a win-win situation for all of us.
That being said, I have a layout to share today that features BasicGrey's Highline collection, which is really a party in the form of scrapbook supplies. I have done a whole slew of layouts with this bright and vibrant line, and I still can't get enough. Kind of like wine, except there's no hangover.
S U P P L I E S :
(And fingers crossed that all those supply list links are up, active, and happy!)
On this page, I layered lots of the saturated patterns to form a energetic frame for my photo. I accented the corners with stitched hearts, using the wooden chalkboard shape as a template.
The title is a piece of word art I created and cut from both black and white cardstock, layering them together to pop it off the colorful background. You can download the free cut file over on the BasicGrey blog!
And now onto the funnest part! (and if you tell me funnest isn't a word, I'm automatically disqualifing you from the giveaway). I have a copy of the summer issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today AND a copy of CardMaps Today 4 to send to two readers. They are both packed with inspiration and eye candy, and I promise they will make you want to scrap!
If you'd like to get some happy mail with one of these issues, just leave me a comment today and let me know which one! International readers are welcome to enter as well. I'll draw a name from the comments on Monday, July 21 and post it here.
Happy almost weekend!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by! The winner of the SCt magazine is Sandy and the CardMaps goes to Marilyn! Don't forget to visit again on Thursday for another giveaway!
