Well hello neglected blog! I think spring fever has officially set in, because whenever I've had a free moment to sit down and blog over the past few weeks, I've instead opted to embark on the Big Spring Clean (capitalizing & bolding it make it more glamorous, right?) and no storage space in the house is safe from my ruthless purging and scrubbing. It's the one time of year I actually want to clean, so I figure I better go with the flow while it lasts! (And I'm wondering if the scent of Pine Sol might be partially responsible for the "cleaners high" I seem to be experiencing??
At any rate, I'm taking a quick break from the spring cleaning to share a quick page that I made using the SCT Delivered spring kit, Sunny Days. I believe there a still a few left for sale, so if you're looking for a fresh collection of products to do some spring scrapping, go grab one now! The kits contains a coordinating selection of products, exclusive stamps and embellishments, as well as cut files and page sketches. And all of the design team projects have full-color instruction sheets available for download, making it easy to re-create your favorite layouts from the gallery.
S U P P L I E S :
There were so many happy papers in this kit that I wanted to include lots of them on this page! To keep the patterns from getting too chaotic, I used the b-side of several papers that were more solid (the pink and aqua) and showcased the patterns on larger circles underneath, so just a border shows.
On the solid circles, I added a stitched border and used foam adhesive to pop them up a bit. Then I clustered all the various circles together to form a base for my photos and title. I love how circles give the page a sense of energy!
The large "Today" title is one of several cut files that comes with the kit (and it also coordinates with a matching "Today" stamp!) The instruction sheet for this page includes the dimensions of all the circles, as well as step-by-step directions for creating it.
And now I'm gonna grab another cup of coffee and start on the last frontier of the Big Spring Clean, which happens to be known as my office. With the stacks and piles that have been multiplying over the past year, it's going to put my skills to the test. Hopefully I'll emerge in a few days with an organized space (and more than a few Mystery Boxes to give away - so stay tuned!)
