If you haven't already downloaded your copy of the newest issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today, then add that to your to-do list for today. It's a wonderful magazine chock full of fall inspiration and you're going to want to snuggle up with a pumpkin spiced latte and read it cover-to-cover this weekend (so add that to your to-do list as well!)
One of my contributions to this issue was a two-pager featuring a favorite fall outing to the pumpkin patch. As the leaves are falling and we're getting some crisp cool weather here, I'm looking forward to our annual trip to pick pumpkins and snap some photos in the gorgeous fall landscape!
S U P P L I E S :
These Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid papers were a great match for my photos, and I cut up several of them into squares to make a patchwork of colors at each end of my photo arrangement. I inked the edges of each square and added a machine-stitched border to add to the homespun quilt look.
To fill the space underneath my vertical photos, I added a large title block made up of chipboard letters and a die-cut word (using the font Lillybelle). I added ink to both of these elements as well to help tie them into the plaid squares.
Some simple chipboard shapes, die cuts and stickers added some texture and dimension to my patchwork quilt. I selected embellishments in the same color palette as my papers and tried to use a variety of shapes in each cluster.
And before I head out to tackle my own to-do list, let's do a little giveaway! I've got an extra copy of the fall issue I'd love to send to someone. If you'd like it, just leave me a comment telling me something that's on your to-do list today. I'll pick a winner from the comments and send out the magazine on Monday, October 3.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends!
