Unfortunately, today is eerily similar to my Monday - fraught with inconvenience and annoyances. And don't you just know I'm gonna blog about it! (Thank you, dear internet, for being my therapy couch. Imagine what a pent-up ball of stress I'd be without you. Or don't. That's just scary.)
So I'm taking a quick break from making nasty phone calls to Jenn-Air to share my crappy day with (lucky!) you. The repairman has concluded that our iced-over freezer needs a new part - something called a damper. As in: put a damper on your hopes of buying new boots for fall because you're gonna drop that money on a stupid frig part instead! What really chafes my hide is that less than two years ago, we replaced this same part, but at that time the frig was still under warranty. So, a Jenn-Air damper has an approximate life span of two years. Um, can you say rip off? And do any of you recall the lengths I will go will when I feel I'm getting ripped off? You're feeling sorry for the poor sap answering Jenn-Air's phone right now, aren't you?
Ah, yes. Had events taken a different turn (i.e., if Jenn-Air didn't make giant pieces of doo-doo for appliances) I would be buying these babies:
Aren't they just freakin' gorgeous? But sadly, our union was not to meant to be. Boo hoo.
In happier news, a big ol' box of KI Memories goodies just showed up on my porch via the UPS man. The day is looking up! Some scrap time is definitely in order for this afternoon. And possibly a good chardonnay for this evening. Throw in a bit of dark chocolate, and I just might crack a smile today. :)
