Last week I had promised to post some non-grid layouts, but the Great Spring Organization & Purge Project of 2011 got me sidetracked. Did you know that if you give your spring cleaning projects a big, bold official title, it makes them more fun? Well, not really, but it does get you out of other household chores:
"What do you mean, 'What's for dinner?' How can I possibly prepare dinner when I'm working on the Great Spring Organization & Purge Project of 2011? The dryer needs to be unloaded? Well that can't take precedence over the Great Spring Organization & Purge Project of 2011! No time to make the bed - I've got the Great Spring Organization & Purge Project of 2011 deadline to meet!"
Suffice it say my family is more than ready for the Great Spring Organization & Purge Project of 2011 to be over already. And the purging part is done - look for more on that in tomorrow's post!
Today I'll share two more of my Jenni Bowlin Mercantile kit pages from April. And look Ma, no grids! Maybe I'm not such a one-trick pony after all. :)
The Girls | supplies: Bazzill cardstock + Crate Paper Pearls + House of Three Junque + Maya Road canvas pennants + House of Three wooden letters + Martha Stewart butterfly punch + Fiskars Scallop Punch + Maya Road resin flower + Studio Calico wooden button + Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher + pen + machine stitching
Baby Face | supplies: Lily Bee Design Oatmeal paper + Sassafras Lass Intro paper + Jenni Bowlin Studio butterfly & receipt stamps + Crate Paper border stickers + House of Three wooden letters + Maya Road resin flower + Cursive Standard font ("face") + pen
I used the JBS Brown Sugar & Chewing Gum inks to stamp the butterflies on the background paper. Then I used Malted Milk to stamp on the Sassafras paper and cut those butterflies out, layering them amongst the brown & pink ones.
And that's about it for today - I'll be spending the rest of the day wrapping up the Great Spring Organization & Purge Project of 2011 and getting this space ready for some creating - woo hoo! Enjoy your Monday!
