My fabulous friend Summer asked me to play along with this month's Colour Suite over at Scrapbook & Cards Today and I was more than happy to create a page with this gorgeous combination of pale pink, bright yellow, min green, bold pink, and teal!
The fresh and happy colors immediately made me think of summer. I had taken lots of photos of Riely turning cartwheels earlier in the season, and I knew they'd be perfect with this Colour Suite. I opted to enlarge one of the shots, spanning it across the entire width of my 12 x 12 page. Underneath, I created four color blocks that incorporated various shades of the yellow, mint, pink and teal.

I used some of the white space in the photo to place my title, combining Thickers with the font Janda Stylish Script that I layered over the photo before printing. I split my journaling into two lines that were printed at the top and bottom edge of my design (using the script font Always in My Heart). Then I had a blast picking out lots of tiny embellishments in the various colors to layer over the blocks:
