We had another jam-packed weekend and here's just a few of the things it included!
Mike & I celebrated our anniversary on Friday and to make up for the fact that he was in Philly for work, he sent me this arrangement of sterling roses that matched the ones in my bouquet when I walked down the aisle sixteen years ago.
Riely's summer theater production of Beauty and the Beast premiered Friday as well, and she rocked her performance of Chip the teacup.
Saturday started bright and early with a swim meet, where both kiddos brought home some blue ribbons and Hayden had a personal record-breaking swim in the 50 freestyle.
There were some birthdays in the house, including Alison's which we celebrated on Saturday night. The biggest benefit of having your birthday cake at our house is that you always get to be 37 years old...because I always forget to buy new candles.
The other birthday honoree was Shinerbock, who turned 10. He enjoyed a special beef stew dinner and an abundance of toys and treats to mark the occasion. We skipped the candles since he has a tendency to scarf down anything within the vicinity of his bowl.
Finally, I started a new art project that will eventually hang on our fireplace at the new cabin. It's still aways from being complete, but here's a couple of in-progress shots. I haven't painted in what seems like years, and it's been fun to pick up the brush again!
Hope you all had a great weekend as well!
