Since starting the Wardrobe Wednesday blog feature back in October 2012, I've amassed quite a few outfit photos in my archives. And since blog writing in general has become such a big part of my life, I decided it deserved a scrapbook spread in my personal album. I used the combination of a traditional 12x12 layout on the left with a pocket page on the right, which allowed me to include 10 photos and lots of fun little details:

I went with a big, bold title on the layout, stacking up a sans serif font (Arial Bold) and using white and red cardstock for the die cuts. It helps to balance out the large column of journaling I included that explains my motivation behind the Wardrobe Wednesday concept.
To help connect the two halves of the spread, I placed a continuous row of 3x4 photos across the middle of both pages. This arrangement creates a strong visual line that guides the eye from the left edge all the way to the right.
I chose products in blues and reds, with liberal doses of neutrals in the kraft, cork, wood veneer, and white. Because the layout is all about fashion, I also incorporated a lot of machine stitching. It adds a nice layer of texture and also relates back to the page theme.
Even though this is just a snippet of my fashion history, it does provide a pretty cool overview of what I've been wearing the past few years. I would have loved to see a spread like this featuring my grandmother or mom, just to get a glimpse at what their closets held! I hope 25 years down the road, my kids and I will get a kick at seeing what fashion was like in "the good ol' days!"
