As a work-at-home mom, my wardrobe consists largely of jeans for obvious reasons: they are comfortable, practical, and probably most importantly - don't require ironing. And while I love all my denim, there are some days when I wish I could be just a bit a fancier. That's when my trouser jeans come into play!
I have to confess my love for this particular cut of jean because it's just so darn flattering on every figure type. The slightly flared leg makes them a bit dressier (and more forgiving) than straight-leg or skinny jeans and they work perfectly with a girly belted cardigan and kitten heels.
I found this pinstriped ruffled-collar blouse at Ross a few years back and have worn it like crazy ever since. I love finding pieces like this one that have unique details and it works perfectly under cardigans, crewnecks and blazers alike. Unfortunately, it does require ironing (bah!) but I'm willing to overlook that flaw because it's a wardrobe workhorse.
I always feel just a bit more business-like, organized and professional in these jeans. And maybe eventually, I'll actually be all those things?? A girl can dream!
