Looking back over the last few months of Wardrobe Wednesdays, I realize I may have to add the following subtitle to this blog series to make more authentic: "Wardrobe Wednesdays - Where I Post All the Many Items I Spend Money On at Target"
Because it's all too true. As much as openly confess my love for J. Crew, I quite often find similar classic pieces at Target for a fraction of the cost. And that means two things: (1) that I can buy more cute clothes for the money (Mike is totally cringing right about now); or (2) I can use the money I save to buy wine. Both good options, no?
I had been searching for a red or coral skirt for CHA and had my eye on this one from J Crew, but at time it was $85 and I didn't really want to spend that much. So imagine my delight when I found this red tweed skirt at Target, marked down to a mere $16.08. Well, of course it came home with me and was an integral part of my outfit for the opening day of CHA:
Of course, it wasn't the only Target piece I donned that day. I paired it with one of my all-time favorite Target finds, this polka dot cardi that miraculously fits my freakishly long torso:
And there's the chunky faceted crystal necklace that's also from Target. I had gotten it for a holiday party a few years back as part of set that included pearls, rhinestones, and various width chains. I love the little bit of fancy-schmancy sparkle it adds.
Looking wistfully off in the distance...at a Target sales rack, perhaps?!
The booties were a Christmas gift from my sweet hubby and they proved to be CHA-floor worthy because my feet still felt great at the end of the day.
Yep, Target makes this girl happy. And the extra wine stash sure doesn't hurt either.
