Old Navy Striped Tunic + Pilcro & The Letterpress Wide Leg Crops (similar)
+ VanEli Leopard booties (similar)
A quick peek at the weather forecast for the next week and knew I had to break out these wide-leg crops and peep toe booties before the snow comes rolling in this weekend - their time in the wardrobe rotation is limited! My only complaint about Colorado's perfect fall is that it never last long enough. So while the temps stay in the 60s, I'm baring my ankles and tootsies while I can (and totally using it as my excuse for getting a much-needed pedicure even though sandal season is long gone!)
And because you know I can never pass up to an opportunity to mix stripes and animal print, I grabbed this Old Navy tunic that I purchased this fall to wear over leggings. It's a great textured knit that's oh-so-comfy, but the looser, longer lines didn't work with my wide leg jeans because my waist totally got lost. (I kind of looked like two triangles stacked on top of one another.) But rather than change tops, I just grabbed one of the clear hair ties that seem to breed inside my bathroom cabinet every night and tied the tunic up to resemble a sashed top. Proving that style doesn't have to cost a lot. In fact, sometimes all it takes is a $2.48 accessory to totally make an outfit.
Happy Thursday, peeps!
