One of my favorite purchases for summer wear were these camouflage shorts from Target. They are soft, they are stretchy, and they are just GOOD. (Quick disclaimer: I cut off the cuffs so they'd have raw hems. I have long-standing issues with cuffs on shorts ). I knew I'd wear them just as much as I wear my camo jeans in the winter, and they haven't let me down. Here's four ways I've styled them recently!

Jean Jacket
Straw Hat
Espadrilles
Earrings
I love the contrast of camo and floral, so pairing them with a flowery graphic tee is one of my favorite combos. I typically try to find a design that has olive green in it so it will mix well with the camouflage!
Universal Thread shorts
Stripe Tank
Sweater Blazer
Belt
Sandals
Working from home I get the perk of adding cut off shorts to the company dress code, and while I know that won't fly in most workplaces, there's nothing like a blazer to dress up an otherwise casual outfit. This pink one from J. Crew is a surprisingly great partner with camo!
Universal Thread shorts
Stripe Tee
Cross-body Bag
Sandals (similar)
Just because camouflage is technically a pattern doesn't mean you can't pair it with other patterns! Stripes are a great way to top these shorts and a gray or black stripe is an easy match. (Though I'm totally going to try rust, mustard and red stripes too!)
Universal Thread shorts
Lace Top (similar)
Tote
Sandals
Once again, I'm grabbing a super feminine top (this one is several years old from Anthro, but any lacy/gauzy/girly blouse would work!) to style these shorts. I love the unexpected mix of rugged camo with sophisticated lace...adding just a little bit of sugar to the spice!
So what's your favorite way to style camouflage? I'm loving all the options and having fun experimenting! If you'd like some more ideas on how I wear this pattern, check out this post with 5 ways I styled camo jeans, all of which would work with these shorts as well.
Happy Wednesday!
